SnApp Judgments: Quell

Every night at 12:15 AM Pacific, Amazon gives away a free paid app through their Amazon app store. As I am usually awake at 12:15 AM Pacific, why not let you know if today’s app is useful, or just more clutter in your app drawer?
Today’s free app is Quell by Fallen Tree Games, which usually runs for $.99. Now I feel ripped off, I bought it for a dime when the Play market had it on sale a while back. It’s a puzzler, although less of the frantic SOLVE IT NOW kind, more where you are supposed to sit back and appreciate the stark beauty of the game while figuring out how to navigate raindrops without popping them on spikes.
I wasn’t that enamored by the game, but more because it didn’t cater to my tastes — it’s a quality title, with something of a following. If you haven’t purchased it already, it’s definitely worth a free download.
