Batman: Arkham Origins Full Trailer, Deathstroke As Playable DLC, And Game’s Main Villain

Batman Arkham Origins

Last week saw the release of a teaser trailer forĀ Batman: Arkham Origins that lightly bruised you with an intense fight between Batman and Deathstroke the Terminator, a new character to the video game franchise from DC Comics. Today’s full trailer puts you in traction with a vicariously painful fight between the two characters, along with an idea of the game’s overall plot and a brief glimpse of the game’s big villain Black Mask.

Besides acting as a legitimate challenge for a rookie Batman in the game, Deathstroke will also be a playable character to some extent, according to a pre-order solicitation on Amazon. Whether you’ll play the character in some sort of villainous capacity as an adversary to Batman or perform a hero’s mission is unknown at this moment, and it can go either way considering the character’s wavering history as a mercenary with his own set of morals.

Also back for this iteration of the game is Deadshot, who sports a modified look from his appearance in Arkham City. Other than helping Batman find his footing as self-made hero in Gotham City, it looks like players will have to avoid periodic assassination attempts thanks to the Black Mask having put a hit out on the town’s new Dark Knight.

In time for the holiday buying season, and to match the wintery feel of the game for those us in the Northern Hemisphere, the game is set to come out on October 25 for PlayStation 3, Wii U, and Xbox 360, and Microsoft Windows. So, you’ll have to wait a few more months before you can strike fear into the hearts of evildoers and help create a safer haven for the denizens of Gotham City. Until then, watch that kick butt trailer a few more times.
