It may be a statement on the fashion industry’s predilection to return to previous fashion trends. It might be a comment on the assumed need for fashion models to look a certain way being an outdated idea. Or it could be that someone on Vogue’s website staff is a fan of old school video games.
Right now, if you go to Vogue.co.uk and type in the old Konami code for the Contra video game series, you’ll be treated to the image of a velociraptor (which looks like it was taken from Jurassic Park) scrolling across the bottom of your screen. Resting atop the raptor’s head will be one of multiple types of head coverings. So far, Techcitement has discovered four different hats, including the knit wool cap seen in the picture above. For those who may not know it by heart, the Konami code is: up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, B, A, S (standing in for the start button here).
Roar. Couture roar.
I managed to get the same result without typing ‘s’. There is a small delay after hitting the ‘a’ key, though.

So far found a red bow, a grey felt military-type hat, a fedora and apparently there’s also a Union Jack beret.
