Facebook Enhances Privacy Features So You Stop Talking About Google+

Ever log onto Facebook and find that someone has tagged a photo of you that you’d rather not be in your newsfeed? Or maybe they’ve tagged you to get your attention for some reason? Either way, Facebook now has you covered  with a ton of privacy-related updates.

While most sites are praising the ability to deny photo tagging, more telling is that you can now select content that you share to be visible via Public, Friends, or “custom” with more options on the way. The custom share feels a lot like the Circles feature on Google+, which is also the feature most users of the service tend to heap the most praise on.

Be aware though, Facebook is also making it so anyone can tag you in a post, even people not on your friends list. While all of the other improvements seemed aimed at improving security, these feels like the start of tag-spamming.

My suggestion? Turn that pre-approval on ASAP.
