On Ur Android, Readin Capshuns

Waiting in line just got a whole lot more fun! The good folks at Cheezburger Network have released a new Android app to view I Can Has Cheezburger?, FAIL Blog, The Daily What, and 44 more of the humor juggernaut’s meme sites. While Cheezburger previously had dedicated apps for a couple of its biggest sites, this is the first time all the laughs have been in one place.

The Cheezburger app focuses on the casual user. Sharing to Facebook and other social networks is supported, while there’s no option to log in to the Cheezburger Network community for voting or commenting. Also absent is the ability to submit new images, something Cheezburger has given its own app on iOS, leaving me hopeful that the feature is in the works. Navigation is intuitive with continuous scroll. Image load time is impressive and animated GIFs are well supported, though I wish animation loaded automatically instead of requiring a tap-through. (That goes for you too, Tumblr.)

The Cheezburger app is ad-free and free to download to your Android device (2.2 or higher) at Google Play. The iOS version has been out for a while now, and can be found at the iTunes store.
