Sprint And Best Buy Will Pay You To Join Their Framily

This isn’t about  a joint offer from Sprint and Best Buy to lure you over to Sprint’s recent (horribly named) Framily Plan. Rather, this is about two entirely different offers.

First comes the news that Best Buy can now sell you a Framily plan. Previously, one could only get those plans direct from Sprint. If you choose to get a new phone and pay for it over Sprint’s installment EasyPay service, Best Buy gives you a $100 gift card. That’s after 14 days of service, of course. If you’re an existing Sprint customer, Best Buy waives the $15 conversion fee for those who used an upgrade before January of this year. This offer is only good through April 13.

Next up is the bigger news that Sprint will pay your Early Termination Fee when you switch from another carrier. AT&T did this for a little while and T-Mobile also makes this offer. The payoff caps  at $350 per line.

As for monthly costs, see above.

Will both offers be honored at Best Buy? There’s only one way to find out. This weekend, I’ll head to Best Buy with both articles and my three in-contract lines on provider X, and then I’ll add them to a friend’s Framily line. I’ll let you know how it turns out on Monday.
