South by Southwest lasts 10 days during the month of March. The festival takes place in Austin, TX. SXSW is broken up into three sections: Interactive, Film, and Music. Throughout the festival, many innovations come to light and old ideas are reinvented. Most days’ events begin with panels at 9:30 or 11 AM and end with parties ushering people out the doors at around 3 AM. These are all the most basic facts for what is an ever-unwinding series of events that easily overwhelms many people, turning them into puddles of mental goo unable to fully follow the barrage of information coming out of the Texas state capital. With that in mind, Techcitement has gathered together all of the stories we reported during SXSW 2013. Peruse through the following articles for some of the most-discussed subjects of the festival — space travel, 3D printing, and social media — and discover many other stories you may have missed.
