Every night at 12:15 AM Pacific, Amazon gives away a free paid app through their Amazon app store. As I am usually awake at 12:15 AM Pacific, why not let you know if today’s app is useful, or just more clutter in your app drawer?
Today’s free app is Cubicle Golf by Plow Digital, Plow Games which usually runs for $.99. It’s funny, going into this game, just from the name, the image Amazon was using to promote this… I thought it was going to suck. Ye gods, was I wrong. It is awesome. OK, the game mechanism is fairly basic, using finger drags to get wheelie-chaired mounted co-workers to slip past the boss and get to the goal area. But somehow, it manages to surpass its humble gameplay with witty graphics and voice over. The voiceover will probably get irritating after a couple of play throughs, but for now, it rocks!
