Adventurous French Teenager, Pirates, And Bugs In Apple App Store

Two stories regarding the Apple App store caught our eyes this morning.

Comic book news site Bleedingcool reports that the recently released Complete Tintin App, selling for a mere $5, is nothing of the sort. Instead, it’s allegedly an unofficial app, and the copies are pirated scans. With the Steven Moffat-penned movie due out soon, it looks like some shady developer has decided to cash in on the comic book icon. I wag my finger at you, unknown scallywag!

Here, have a movie trailer:

In other news, Google finally released a dedicated iPad app yesterday. Except replace “finally” with “jumped the gun.” The app turned out to be buggy and caused all manner of issues, not the least of which was that push notifications weren’t working. Google has pulled the app, and users have to be content with the solid integration that came with the built-in iOS mail client.

Poor thing lasted less than a Kardashian wedding.
