Get In The Digital Line For Instagram, Android Users
By Justin Davis. March 26, 2012, 3:15 PM CDT
It looks like Instagram is finally making an appearance on Android, but there’s not yet a clear date on when that will occur. For now, the popular app only has a registration page and no further information available. Currently, Instagram has over 27 million registered users and that’s sure to skyrocket when the app reaches out beyond the Apple fence it’s been behind up to this point. Instagram founder Kevin Systrom teased during SXSW that an Android app would drop “very soon” and claimed that it will be “one of the best Android apps you’ll ever see.” That’s a big promise to make, but with an ever-increasing user base and the different possible functions for the app when it becomes available on Android, it’s could be a snap to follow through.
About Justin Davis
Justin Davis is one of the co-founders of Techcitement and acts as the editor-in-chief for the site, which is ironic because he's likely the least tech savvy/aware person here. He also wrote a monthly restaurant review column for The A.V. Club Austin from 2010 to 2011, and he regularly performs in and directs improv theater. That means he's ready for anything. Yes, even that.
