Every night at 12:15 AM Pacific, Amazon gives away a free paid app through their Amazon app store. As I am usually awake at 12:15 AM Pacific, why not let you know if today’s app is useful, or just more clutter in your app drawer?
Today’s free app is Bills Reminder by Handy Apps Inc, which usually runs for $2.99. Its a little reminder app to tell you when you have bills to pay. Or in other words, it does what Google Calendar does for free on more than just today. Really, that’s it, it’s a bill-oriented calendar. I can’t even auto-sync between devices, so if I set a bill reminder on my phone, it doesn’t automatically link to my tablet — I have to export it to my PC first. Wacky.
I think I’m kind of angry that this app ordinarily runs three bucks. Like its only purpose is to trick money out of people too stupid to know it’s just doing something your phone already can do automatically for free.
