SnApp Judgments: Trip Journal

Every night at 12:15 AM Pacific, Amazon gives away a free paid app through their Amazon app store. As I am usually awake at 12:15 AM Pacific, why not let you know if today’s app is useful, or just more clutter in your app drawer?

Today’s free app is Trip Journal by iQuest Technologies SRL, which ordinarily runs for $.99. This is going to be another one of those quick reviews where I can’t comment completely on it, because to really get the feel for how the app works, I’d have to go someplace. But wow, just playing with it a little in my apartment, it makes me want to go some place. In a good way. Not to get away from the app. To use it.

Trip Journal puts all your traveling social media tools into one app. In one program, you get access to Facebook, Google Earth, Trip Journal, Picasa, Flickr, Youtube and Twitter, all tweaked for recording your vacation memories. It’s one of those simple ideas that make you smack yourself on the head, wondering why you didn’t think of it? Assuming it works, this could be the ultimate road trip tool.

Anyone for Vegas?
