SnApp Judgments: Fruit Ninja: Puss in Boots

Every night at 12:15 AM Pacific, Amazon gives away a free paid app through their Amazon app store. As I am usually awake at 12:15 AM Pacific, why not let you know if today’s app is useful, or just more clutter in your app drawer?

Today’s free app is Fruit Ninja: Puss in Boots by Halfbrick Studios Pty Ltd and usually runs for $.99, apparently exclusively on the Amazon Appstore. Have you ever played the original Fruit Ninja? This is basically the same thing, except with a flamenco soundtrack and Antonio Banderas (or suitable facsimile) telling you how awesome you are. There’s also a new mode, Bandito, where you have to beat specific slicing challenges.

Basically, did you like Fruit Ninja? Then this is for you. If you hated Fruit Ninja — for a reason that I can only assume is because you are some kind of soulless homonculus, only mimicking at being a human — then a little Spanish guitar and Antonio Banderas voice over is probably not going to convince you otherwise. For everyone else, it’s an excuse to slice some fruit again.
