CES 2012 Videos: AKG And AfterShokz Open Your Ears

CES 2012 may be over, but Techcitement still has media from the show for you to eat up. There are always new audio devices being shown off at CES, and here is a look at two companies approaching getting music into your head from two different directions — going for super high quality or vibrating it to your brain through your skull.

For high quality headphones, AKG may not have the mainstream name brand recognition of Monster or Bose, but years of fine Austrian engineering have put together one heck of an impressive product. This is an overview of their headphone product line, including their Quincy Jones Signature Line. A little later in the week, I should be providing a review of their K350 In-Ear Headset, so keep your eyes open for that.

Tired of listening to music with your ears? Then AfterShokz may be the product for you. Using technology currently in use by various military and police organizations, AfterShokz uses sonic induction to vibrate sound directly into your skull, bypassing the eardrum. Apparently, this keeps your ears from being damaged and also allows you to listen to audio clearly while still hearing the world around you. Wacky, wild, sci-fi audio technology. Keep your eyes peeled for a Techcitement review shortly of these too.
