One Phone To Rule Them All — HTC’s New Lineup Of Phones

Phone manufacturer HTC announced their new One series of phones at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain. HTC says the three phones in the series, the X, S and V,  will have a higher quality of audio and camera capabilities. Apart from a few key features, the phones are drastically different in both design and internal parts. All three of the phones will run on the HTC Sense 4 version of Android 4.0, so there will be Ice Cream Sandwich yumminess for all. They also incorporate Beats By Dr. Dre Audio, so they should provide better quality audio than your standard headset. The other unifying feature for the lineup is the phone’s image capturing capabilities. The phones can take a picture in 0.7 seconds with a 0.2-seconds autofocus. Two of the phones in series, the X and the S, have cameras with an  f/2.0 lens, capturing 40 percent more light than the f/2.4 lenses available on other high-end phones. Cloud storage provider Dropbox is baked directly into the phone and will give owners 25 gigs free for two years.

HTC One X

The X is undoubtedly the flagship of the line, weighing in with a monster 4.7 inch HD super LCD display. It’s NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor packs a punch as well — 1.5 GHz Super 4-PLUS-1 quad-core with an integrated fifth Battery Saver Core and a high-performance 12-Core NVIDIA GPU. It will also be available in select 4G LTE markets with a LTE-enabled Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor with up to 1.5GHz dual-core CPU’s.

HTC One S

If you prefer a phone that might actually fit in your hand, the S might be more up your alley, with its 4.3″ screen and the thinnest body on an HTC phone yet at 7.9 mm. It’s a bit less of a beast under the hood than the X, with a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor with up to 1.5GHz dual-core CPUs, but that should still provide a ton of performance.

HTC One V

Finally, there’s the V. It’s the budget phone of the line, with more traditional HTC stylings, a 3.7″ screen and a 1 GHz Snapdragon processor. But hey, you might actually be able to afford it, so that’s something.
