You say about a third of American’s homeless are veterans, but then appear to flip that when you say that five of the people in the photo would be homeless – that’s saying that 1/3 of American’s veterans are homeless (if the difference between those two statements isn’t immediately clear – let’s say that 100% of America’s current presidents are of mixed race, but it doesn’t follow that 100% of people of mixed race are currently president.) Grabbing the quickest stat I can, it looks like about 130,000 veterans will be homeless at some point during a given year…. and with you saying that 8% of Americans being veterans, that’s roughly 26 million people, which would make it .5% of all veterans will be homeless. Odds are that none of the people in the photo will be homeless this year. HOWEVER, the more important thing is that if these guys shot pictures of 15 “hobos” this week, congratulations, you just filmed yourself attacking five people who served America in the armed forces.
