Steve Wozniak Shows Kim Dotcom Love As MegaBox Music Sharing Returns

If there’s one thing you can say about Kim Dotcom, it’s the fact that the guy just keeps getting back up when he’s knocked down. As soon as the Megaupload founder’s restrictions on internet access were restored, he created a new Twitter account. His tweets thank all of his supporters and promise a revival of his next business, MegaBox, which was suspended after his arrest. “The major record labels thought MegaBox is dead. Artists rejoice. It is coming and it will unchain you.”, said Dotcom. Before his arrest, Dotcom promised MegaBox would allow artists to retain an unprecedented 90 percent of their profits from music sales.

Dotcom also shared an Instagram photo posing with Steve Wozniak, who holds claim as one of the founders of Apple, among many other accomplishments. Wozniak visited Dotcom at his mansion after his arrest, and Dotcom claims the influential tech persona is “totally supportive” of the EFF’s efforts to recover individual user’s data stored on Megaupload’s seized servers.

The EFF will take the FBI to court over the handling of these files, with a hearing scheduled for June 29.

With most of Dotcom’s assets remaining frozen, there’s a good chance MegaBox will launch under his wife’s name. Dotcom tweeted she was working on her own cloud storage business, earlier this week.
