New Netflix App For Android Adds Even More Devices

A new version of Netflix for Android was released today, listing a substantial amount of devices officially compatible as of now.

The best bit? While most tablets aren’t on the official list (and therefore the Netflix app doesn’t even appear in their app markets), if you sideload it manually onto your device, it appears the app is now tablet-friendly, even on Honeycomb!

I just tried it on my G-Tablet running Froyo (which previously didn’t work unless running a specific rom), and I can say it works really well now. Good job, Netflix; however, I wonder why you aren’t officially including Honeycomb tabs? I’d say that’s a pretty big selling point.

Meanwhile, you can sideload the official app (untouched) or one of the versions modified by XDA members to allow rotation and color changes. This new app may have something to do with Netflix’s decision to raise their prices by 60 percent.
