This comes scant days <a href=\"https:\/\/techcitement.comhardware\/cricket-pre-paid-cellular-chirps-about-adding-iphone\" target=\"_blank\">after Cricket Wireless<\/a>, another pre-pay giant, made a similar announcement. All this pre-pay action is making some of us wonder what&#8217;s in store for June 11&#8217;s WWDC event.<\/p>\n<p>While hardware is the same, pricing is not. Cricket will be charging $400 for an 8 GB iPhone 4 and $500 for the 4S. Virgin will be charging a bit more at $549 for the 4 and a massive $649 for the 4S. These are pretty much inline with the cost of an unlocked GSM iPhone. The savings with Virgin comes in the monthly price. Cricket will charge $55 a month for the privilege of iPhone ownership. Virgin is offering three plans, all with unlimited text and data. The most expensive, including unlimited voice, is $50.<\/p>\n<p>Is a $60 a year savings over Cricket, plus no data throttling, worth paying $150 more for an iPhone?
