Capcom has announced that it’s opening a Resident Evil themed restaurant, called Biohazard Cafe & Grill S.T.A.R.S. in Japan next month. The part most like Resident Evil? The cafe opens on Friday the 13th in a crowded department store (Shibuya Parco Part-1). The part that’s not like Resident Evil? The, uh, singing and dancing entertainment from Dance Team S.T.A.R.S. Angelique while you eat Resident Evil-themed gourmet cuisine.

It takes a special kind of person to want to eat brains or something that looks like brains that they’re pretending is actually brains. And aside from brains, the list of other zombie-related food items is pretty short, isn’t it?

But if there’s one thing I hope this leads to, it’s other video game-themed restaurants. Medieval Times could easily upgrade to the much better Skyrim-themed Tamriel Times (alliteration +10), and any vegan restaurant could re-invent itself by serving up Super Mario cuisine by just throwing mushrooms on everything (mushrooms are vegan) and the occasional turtle meat (turtle meat is totally vegan).
