Zhang Lili, 34, a\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.arcade-museum.com\/game_detail.php?game_id=7433\" target=\"_blank\">cab driver<\/a>\u00a0living in Sanmen County of the Zhejiang province, turned herself in to the authorities after using no small amount of fake game tokens at a local arcade. She spent so much money on real tokens in the arcade that she rationalized counterfeiting tokens to drop the cost of play from 50 yuan to 15 yuan\u00a0(the cost of producing a single fake token). One American dollar is worth a little more than six Chinese Yuan. Essentially, Lili\u00a0stopped paying the arcade\u2019s\u00a0MSRP and bought her\u00a0game-time\u00a0wholesale because she was <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gatheringofgamers.com\/video_game_tournaments.php\" target=\"_blank\">playing too many video games.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>She found a website that sells\u00a0custom game tokens and sent them\u00a0pictures of her own play money\u00a0to ensure accuracy. Between May and October, Lili had spent most of the fake tokens purchased and even\u00a0sold a few to other\u00a0arcade goers. Eventually,\u00a0the owner noticed he had more tokens than he\u00a0started with and realized something was up.\u00a0But before the owner could even investigate or alert the police, Lili turned herself in. <a href=\"http:\/\/cannabisculture.com\/content\/2012\/05\/29\/New-Biography-Says-Obama-Smoked-Pot-Lot\" target=\"_blank\">Nobody caught her<\/a>. So, when the owner grew suspicious, why didn\u2019t Lili just go to another arcade? She was a cab driver in three districts. Surely, she could have found another arcade to play games with a clean (legal) conscious.<\/p>\n<p>Maybe guilt and a noble sense of honor called Lili to confess? Seriously, I cannot even fathom how she thought this was a viable option. China has literally, and metaphorically, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2012\/01\/03\/world\/asia\/china-set-to-punish-another-human-rights-activist.html?_r=1&amp;pagewanted=all\">crippled people<\/a> for stepping out of line. That\u2019s a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rockstargames.com\/V\/\">pre-prison<\/a> warm-up.
