Facebook.

Why?

No, seriously, why?

Do I even need to discuss it at this point? You’ve logged in by now. You’ve thrown up your hands in disgust. You’ve done a search on Google looking for blog posts to reinforce your view that, indeed, this is a terrible redesign, which is what brings you here. I know it’s almost to the point where we’ve been conditioned to freak out every time there’s a Facebook redesign. It’s expected. Then, we learn how to use everything, it starts becoming second nature, until the next time Mark Zuckerberg pulls the card with whatever the new design change is going to be out of the bingo roller of Facebook redesign and we all get angry again.

But this? Wow. This is bad. I have no idea where to look at my feed. I’m not even entirely sure where to begin to look at my feed. C’mon, people are idiots for the most part and you felt the need to hide the box to update your status? Was that really what was holding Facebook back, intuitiveness?

Zuckerberg, we get it, you felt threatened by the wider release of Google+, but did you have to panic that bad, randomly changing virtually every way we’ve learned how to read the feed? Does this mess even fit under Facebook’s patent anymore. Even more bizarre, this coming after changes that make complete and total sense. The subscription update was simplistic genius. Something that should have been put in place years ago, when the 5,000 friend limit and fan pages started to roll out. But this? Ye gods!

Twitter went down last night. I’m assuming it was from people complaining about Facebook. I refuse to use the term Facebookocalypse. I prefer Fäceböökämmerung. Conisder it trademarked.
