They&#8217;ve rented a shop right by Apple&#8217;s downtown Sydney (as in Australia) shop with the hopes of snagging some buyers.<\/p>\n<p>To sweeten the pot, they&#8217;re also reselling their current flagship, the Galaxy S II for a mere $2 AU to the first 10 people in line each day. I&#8217;m in the middle of spending some time with the AT&amp;T version of that handset (stay tuned for a review), and I think that&#8217;s a heck of a deal. Yes, the 4S has <a href=\"http:\/\/www.apple.com\/iphone\/features\/siri.html\" target=\"_blank\">Siri<\/a> and is all kinds of hot, with over a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.apple.com\/pr\/library\/2011\/10\/10iPhone-4S-Pre-Orders-Top-One-Million-in-First-24-Hours.html\" target=\"_blank\">million<\/a> pre-orders in 24 hours. However, the Galaxy S II is no slouch. If you can score one for two bills, you should be quite pleased.<\/p>\n<p>This is a brilliant bit of salesmanship, especially coming after the questionable use of the death of Apple&#8217;s co-founder as a <a href=\"http:\/\/latimesblogs.latimes.com\/world_now\/2011\/10\/samsung-apple-smartphone-legal-battle-competition-steve-jobs-death.html\" target=\"_blank\">reason<\/a> why Samsung delayed their recent <a href=\"https:\/\/techcitement.commobile\/but-i-rsvpd-for-that-samsung-galaxy-nexus-announcement-delayed-video-leaked\/\" target=\"_blank\">press event<\/a> and not for any rumored technical or <a href=\"http:\/\/www.computerworld.com\/s\/article\/9220725\/Nexus_Prime_smartphone_Android_4.0_delayed_over_patent_dispute_?taxonomyId=15\" target=\"_blank\">legal<\/a> reasons.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As the ongoing battle between Apple and Samsung continues to play out, the Korean electronics giant has decided to take it to a new and interesting level.
