We&#8217;ve both known this was a long time coming. Things just feel stagnant, you know? I mean, at first, we were both exciting and passionate. You gave me the moon! You took me places I\u2019d never been before! But now, well, we\u2019ve gotten into a rut. We just go to the same place over and over. We never do anything new. I need a space program that&#8217;s as active and passionate as I am! Now, I know what you\u2019re going to say, and I won\u2019t lie to you. Yes, this is partially about <a title=\"Virgin Galactic\" href=\"http:\/\/www.virgingalactic.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Virgin Galactic<\/a>, but I don\u2019t know if that\u2019s going to end up being the program for me. I just know I can\u2019t be with you anymore.<\/p>\n<p>I can\u2019t sit here day after day, watching you waste all the money I give you and doing nothing with your life.\u00a0Other space companies are out there, <a title=\"building spaceports\" href=\"http:\/\/www.virgin.com\/richard-branson\/blog\/historic-day-in-new-mexico\" target=\"_blank\">building spaceports<\/a> and <a title=\"testing low-cost rockets\" href=\"http:\/\/www.spacex.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">testing low-cost rockets<\/a>! And you\u2019re taking a step backward with your <a title=\"old liquid-fuel rocket ideas\" href=\"http:\/\/www.nasa.gov\/mission_pages\/constellation\/ares\/ares_naming.html\" target=\"_blank\">old liquid-fuel rocket\u00a0ideas<\/a>\u00a0from the 60s? I don\u2019t know what to say. That\u2019s not the National Aeronautics and Space Program I fell in love with.<\/p>\n<p>Goodbye, NASA.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It\u2019s over.
