As I am usually awake at 12:15 AM Pacific, why not let you know if today\u2019s app is useful, or just more clutter in your app drawer?<\/em><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/techcitement.commobile\/snapp-judgments-helium-boy-2\/attachment\/promo-_v162943193_\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-6731\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-6731\" src=\"https:\/\/techcitement.comadmin\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/promo._V162943193_-300x146.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"146\" srcset=\"https:\/\/techcitement.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/promo._V162943193_-300x146.jpg 300w, https:\/\/techcitement.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/promo._V162943193_.jpg 473w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Today&#8217;s free app is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B005X7R9T0?ie=UTF8&amp;ref=mas_faad\" target=\"_blank\">Helium Boy<\/a> by\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/s\/ref=bl_sr_mobile-apps?_encoding=UTF8&amp;node=2350149011&amp;field-brandtextbin=Bertil%20Horberg\">Bertil Horberg<\/a> which usually runs for $1.99. It&#8217;s a 3D platform game &#8212; think something from the Mario series &#8212; featuring a boy and his balloons doing&#8230; something. For some reason, I&#8217;m sure.<\/p>\n<p>The game has some rather lovely 3D graphics, for a low-end cell phone game, anyway. What it doesn&#8217;t have are easy-to-use controls. The key gag behind <em>Helium Boy<\/em> is that he has his balloons, which give him a floaty jump. Problem being, that floaty jump is ridiculously difficult to navigate, especially from my 3&#8243; screen. I spent most of my time playing gently floating to my grisly death. Why Helium Boy can&#8217;t use his balloons as some kind of floatation device, I have no idea, but once they hit water, they sink to the bottom, dragging Helium Boy to an oxygen-starved demise.<\/p>\n<p>Or maybe I just suck at it.
