Twitter has announced<\/a> on their blog a brand new Follow Button<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Instead of the square button we’re all used to seeing with a simple link to a user’s Twitter page, Twitter will serve up a chicklet that leads to a special page with the user’s last few tweets, along with a brief list of followers and followees, starting with people you have in common. They’ve also tricked the button out with an up-to-the-minute follower count right inline.<\/p>\n

An added (and certainly planned) bonus for Twitter is that the new button forces people to stop using their old logo and switch to the one they rolled out last year.<\/p>\n
