Karma<\/a>, a new free app for iPhone and Android, aims to save you from that bad gift-buying embarrassment.<\/p>\n

Through a quick analysis of your giftee\u2019s demographic information and Facebook interests, Karma suggests a number of gift options for you to buy and then notifies the recipient of your gift via text that you\u2019ve sent them some goodies. The lucky person can then customize attributes of the gift (size and color for clothing, say) to their heart\u2019s content. And if your special someone already has everything he or she wants, Karma has the option to donate the value of the gift to charity.
