Have A Designated Driver If You Play The Last Barfighter

Let’s not mince words: Someone has invented a video game that serves you beer.

Specifically, that someone is the McKinney advertising agency, who built The Last Barfighter machine for its client, Big Boss Brewing. The Last Beerfighter is a fighting game that, instead of accepting quarters, activates when a motion sensor detects a player has placed a cup under beer taps on the front of the cabinet. Defeat your opponent and win a beer! Which you could probably acquire by going up to the bar and asking for a beer in the traditional manner! But that’s not really the point, is it?

The gameplay itself doesn’t appear to be anything to write home about, based on the extremely limited glimpses available in the trailer. In fact, you could probably find a comparable flash-based fighter with a quickie Google search and go get a beer out your fridge. But again, that’s probably not really the point.

Yes, okay, the whole idea is a bit stupid. That doesn’t mean I wouldn’t play the hell out of a beer-serving arcade game if my local watering hole had one installed.
