Every night at 12:15 AM Pacific, Amazon gives away a free paid app through their Amazon app store. As I am usually awake at 12:15 AM Pacific, why not let you know if today’s app is useful, or just more clutter in your app drawer?
Today’s free app is Stellar Escape by Orange Agenda which ordinarily runs for $.99. It’s a platform game where you play a space trader trying to escape from… something, that you never actually see, jumping or diving under obstacles. The graphics are better than average for a $.99 game, but it’s a bit one-dimensional. Which is rough for a 2D platformer. If the backgrounds change, they didn’t while I was playing it. It’s like a twisted lesson on Sesame Street played over and over again — Over! Under! Over! Under!
That said, the astronaut is nicely animated.
