Nexus Prime Passes WiFi Certification, Geek Reference

Obscure geek reference made. Quota met.

The Nexus phones are always an important part of Android phone development. They show where Google wants to take its operating system over the next year. So, with the next Nexus phone, otherwise known as the SamsungĀ GT-I9250 or Nexus Prime, receiving WiFi certification, it’s a big deal, even if it only means there’s a good chance the phone will come out before the end of the year.

There are plenty of rumors swirling around the device — mostly saying it will be fast, hi-def, huge, and maybe on Verizon. That would be nice, as the contract on my original DROID just ended, but that rumor won’t be put to test until after Nexus Prime passes radio certification.

Also, as we are a higher class of nerd here at Techcitement, we won’t go with the obvious Optimus Prime gags in relation to the Nexus Prime. Not when we can combine comic book characters Nexus and Prime.
