As Black Friday and Cyber Monday approach, our thoughts (along with the thoughts of most of the U.S.) turn to finding great deals. This is often the best time to upgrade or add a line. This year, Amazon Wireless makes an offer that’s very, very hard to refuse.
Amazon’s Wireless store always has the occasional “smartphone for a penny” deal. However, from now until November 28, Amazon is offering every single phone for a penny. That’s right. We’re talking every variation of the Samsung Galaxy S II. We’re talking the new-this-month Motorola RAZR. Even the just-came-out-yesterday HTC Titan is a penny. As an added bonus, if the phone has a hotspot feature and you add it to your plan, you can get a $100 Amazon gift card.
There is, of course, a catch. The sale only applies to new lines of service. If you want to upgrade instead, your prices are not quite as stellar. It should further be noted that Amazon doesn’t offer Apple’s iPhone on any carrier, so this isn’t for you if you only want iOS. Still, for a massive amount of consumers, this is a great chance to snag a high-end phone for next to nothing. It certainly warms the heart and brings to mind the true holiday spirit, as envisioned by Tom Lehrer.
