On The Cheap: Cyber Monday Is Over, But Smartphone Savings Are Not

AT&T

AT&T actually has a decent selection of refurbished phones available online. Yesterday, you could fin an iPhone 5 base model for $99.  While you can’t get that deal today, you can get an original Galaxy Note for $50, not quite on the level of the T-Mobile/Best Buy deal, but quite good. You can also buy a refurbished iPhone 4S 16 GB for $50 on the company’s site.

Best Buy is offering refurbished iPhone 4 32 GB models for free.

iPhones rarely go on sale, so go for it if you’re a cheapskate.

For Windows Phones, the best deals are at Amazon, where a new user will pay $70 for a Lumia 920, but the upgrading user will spend only $20. This is a brand new and popular phone, so its currently back-ordered. However, the also brand-new HTC 8X 8 GB model is only $40  on Amazon Wireless and is in stock as of this writing.

Twenty bucks buys you a hell of a lot of smartphone, as long as you don’t mind waiting.

While the HTC One X+ is already out, the HTC One remains one of the best phones on the market. You can expect to see this smartphone for free or a penny, on and off all holiday season. Sony’s Xperia line’s new additions are showing up discounted all over the place, but I’m not a fan of them myself, so I’m not linking to any deals.

Do not buy: Any older Windows Phone devices.
