Every night at 12:15 AM Pacific, Amazon gives away a free paid app through their Amazon app store. As I am usually awake at 12:15 AM Pacific, why not let you know if today’s app is useful, or just more clutter in your app drawer?
Today’s free app is Going Nuts by END Games Entertainment LLC which usually goes for $.99. You play a flying squirrel trying to grab nuts that are floating in the air, dodging trees, owls and bad nuts, which apparently give you gas. It’s a fairly simple gaming mechanic, but it works. The graphics are bright and colorful, the gameplay is fast, and there are a ton of achievements to earn. The only rough point, it was occasionally getting choppy on my phone. And my phone ain’t exactly a Droid Eris, if you get my drift.
